Effective January 1, 2019, four new codes (95976, 95977, 95983, 95984) should be used to report neurostimulator programming and analysis services. For coding purposes, a neurostimulator system is considered implanted when the electrode array(s) is inserted into the target area for either permanent or temporary/trial placement.
