nameaPTT in Platelet poor plasma by Coagulation assay -- after addition of protein C activator + Factor V depleted plasma/aPTT
descriptionThe protein C pathway the patient's protein C is activated by agkistrodon contortrix (Protac[TM]). Then, an aPTT or DVVR-based coagulation is started. These tests should screen the protein C pathway covering protein C defects, protein S defects and Factor V Leiden mutations. Used in combination with factor V deficient plasma these tests can specifically detect problems with factor V.

Fully-Specified Name

componentCoagulation surface induced^after addition of protein C activator+Factor V depleted plasma/Coagulation surface induced
propertyTRto  =  Time Ratio
timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
systemPPP  =  Platelet poor plasma
scaleQn  =  Quantitative:  The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
methodCoag  =  Coagulation Assay:  To distinguish coagulation assays based on clotting methods that test function/activity from Immune methods that detect the presence of clotting factors and may or may not be functional assays.
