description | These are created to ease the mapping of local codes for automated urinalysis machines to LOINC codes. The batteries include a set of tests reported one way- e.g. as concentrations of observed particles or cells, as number of particles or cell per microscopic field (we presume the units will say whether they are per HPF or per LPF- though crystals and cells are usually reported per HPF and casts per LPF), and one as categorical response, e.g. pos/neg or none, few many, loaded. Laboratories pick and choose how to report information that comes out of their automated instrument (which can provide numeric concentrations). So it is unlikely that any real UA panel will be of only one kind (e.g. NCNC, Naric , or Ord).
status | ACTIVE | ||
Fully-Specified Name | |||
component | Urinalysis type of non-squamous epithelial cells panel
property | NCnc = Number Concentration (count/vol)
time | Pt = Point in time: To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
system | Urine | ||
scale | Qn = Quantitative: The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
method | Computer assisted
