description | Neonate mobility is described as either completely immobile (=4), very limited (=3), slightly limited (=2) or no limitations (=1) in the Neonatal Skin Risk Assessment Scale (NSRAS). Completely immobile is when the infant does not make even slight changes in body or extremity position without assistance (e.g. Pavulon). Very limited mobility is when the infant makes occasional slight changes in body or extremity but they are unable to make frequent changes independently. Slightly limited mobility is when the infant makes frequent though slight changes in body or extremity position independently. No limitations is when the infant makes major and frequent changes in position without assistance (e.g. turn head). Only one numeric value (1, 2, 3 or 4) is selected. | ||
