LOINC Code

LOINC code86239-1
nameCells.chromosome 3 monosomy/Cells counted in Cancer specimen by FISH
descriptionThe percent of cells in the cancer specimen containing a single copy of chromosome 3 (monosomy 3) can be detected by FISH based on the number of chromosome 3 probe signals. This term is used to report the number of cells that have a chromosome 3 deletion out of total number of cells examined (e.g. 80 or of 100 cells, or 80%). Results are also typically reported in ISCN (International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature) format [LOINC: 62356-1]. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's assay which uses the Vysis chromosome 3 CEP (D3Z1) probe and a laboratory-developed BCL6 (3q27.2) probe.

timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
systemCancer specimen
scaleQn  =  Quantitative:  The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
