A patient was seen at our facility and underwent a right and left lumbar sympathetic block of the L2 and L3 vertebral body levels under fluoroscopic guidance. When CPT Code 64520, Injection, anesthetic agent; lumbar or thoracic (paravertebral sympathetic) is performed on both the right and left side, how is this reported? Would the procedures be reported as bilateral, 64520-50 or would the procedures be reported with a quantity of two, 64520 x’s 2? ...
