OPPS FINAL RULE The following information was posted in the November 27, 2007, Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) final rule at www.cms.gov. Cardiac rehabilitation services For CY 2008, CMS did not finalize the proposal to establish two new G-codes to report cardiac rehabilitation services. Instead, CMS will continue to use CPT codes 93797, Physician services for outpatient cardiac rehabilitation; without continuous ECG monitoring (per session), and 93798, Physician services for outpatient cardiac rehabilitation; with continuous ECG monitoring (per session), for these services.
