Coding Clinic for HCPCS Second Quarter 2018, Page 4, stated that a colonoscopy performed following a positive Cologuard® screening test, would be considered a diagnostic exam and not a screening. However, the answer seemed to indicate a screening code should be assigned. Since the follow-up colonoscopy was considered diagnostic, will you please clarify why screening colonoscopy codes were advised for the diagnostic exam? ...
