Correction

Research seems to indicate that telangiectasia- a condition in which small-dilated blood vessels are visible on the skin, are benign lesions. Per the CPT codebook, laser destruction of benign skin lesions is reported with CPT codes in range 17110-17111. However, Coding Clinic for HCPCS Fourth Quarter 2009, page 9, assigned codes from range 17000-17004, which is for destruction of premalignant lesions, for the laser destruction of telangiectasia. Would not codes from range 17110-17111 for benign lesions be more appropriate for the laser destruction of telangiectasia? ...
