HCPCS codes for the reporting of Albuterol, Levalbuterol, and Reclast® revised by CMS
Medicaid Services has made a few revisions regarding the billing of Albuterol, Levalbuterol, which are currently reported utilizing HCPCS codes J7611 , J7612 , J7613 , and J7614 . Effective July 1, 2007, these codes will no longer be billable for Medicare. They are being replaced by two new HCPCS codes. For non-Medicare reporting, it is important that you check with your respective payor for appropriate reporting instructions. Effective July 1, 2007, the new HCPCS Q codes are listed in Table 3.
