CMS is anticipating a patient access problem due to the lack of production capacity and supply of the lowest priced brand-name influenza vaccine product for the 2010-2011 influenza season. Therefore, CMS has established five separate HCPCS codes for the individual influenza brand products currently associated with CPT code 90658 , Influenza virus vaccine, split virus, when administered to 3 years of age and older, for intramuscular use .
