Iliotibial band repair
The patient suffered a knee injury resulting in an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), lateral collateral ligament (LCL), and iliotibial band disruptions. The patient presents to have arthroscopic repair of the LCL and iliotibial band disruptions and reconstruction of the ACL. Can the iliotibial band repair be reported separately or is it inherent with the ACL reconstruction? If it can be reported what is the correct CPT code for this procedure?
