The following information was posted in the November 27, 2007, Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) final rule at www.cms.gov.
Immune globulin
CMS will replace the seven HCPCS Q codes currently reported for immune globulin with new HCPCS J codes. The HCPCS Q codes were implemented July 1, 2007 and will be deleted December 31, 2007. Here is a listing of the new HCPCS J codes that will be effective for use January 1, 2008. (See Fig. 1 this page.)
