Mehta cast application
A 5-year-old child with neurogenic scoliosis presented for application of a Mehta cast to prevent curvature progression. Under general anesthesia, the patient was placed on the Risser casting table. After traction was applied, all bony prominences were padded with waterproof padding. Then, the fiberglass was applied. After a correction maneuver was performed, the traction was removed.
