The American Medical Association (AMA) released new product and administration codes for the Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen Pharmaceutical (a division of Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines.New product codesThe new CPT code released to capture Pfizer’s new ready-to-use vaccine product is CPT code 91305, Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (coronavirus disease [COVID-19]) vaccine, mRNA-LNP, spike protein, preservative free, 30 mcg/0.3 mL dosage, tris-sucrose formulation, for intramuscular use.
