The American Medical Association (AMA) has approved new CPT Category I codes for reporting Sars-CoV-2 vaccines. New product code 91317 and administration code 0173A are reported for the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent vaccine when administered as a third dose in the primary series, (with the first two doses reported with 91308 , 0081A , 0082A ) in children 6 months through 4 years of age.
