New and revised CPT codes for fine needle aspiration procedures
Effective January 1, 2019, new CPT codes will be added for the reporting of fine needle aspiration procedures performed with or without image guidance, in addition to revised text for existing CPT code 10021 . Also, CPT code 10022 will be deleted effective January 1, 2019. The new and deleted CPT code(s) and revised text are listed in the table below.
