In AHA’s Coding Clinic for HCPCS, 1 st Quarter 2015, page 2, it is stated that CPT codes 11010 - 11012 would be reported for extensive debridement procedures performed for treatment of an open or closed fracture. This advice is inconsistent with the advice published in CPT Assistant, October 2012, on page 13, which states that CPT codes 11010 - 11012 would not be reported for closed fractures or closed dislocations.  ...
