Bacteriuria

Code R82.7, Abnormal findings on microbiological examination of urine, has been expanded to uniquely identify bacteriuria (R82.71). In addition, a new code has been created for other abnormal findings on microbiological examination of urine (R82.79). Bacteriuria refers to the presence of bacteria in a microscopic examination of the urine. In infants and young children, bacteriuria may lead to more detailed evaluations of the genitourinary system.  ...
