Mononeuropathy is defined as disease affecting a single nerve or a single group of nerves. Polyneuropathy is defined as disease affecting multiple nerves. Is peripheral neuropathy of both legs considered a mononeuropathy (355.8) or a polyneuropathy (356.9)?
