Branched and Fenestrated Endograft Repair of Aneurysms

Two new device values were added for branched and fenestrated endograft procedures used to treat aneurysms. Device E Intraluminal Device, Branched or Fenestrated, One or Two Arteries   F Intraluminal Device, Branched or Fenestrated, Three or More Arteries   These new values restore the detail previously available in ICD-9-CM to identify the use of branched and fenestrated endografts, also known as stent grafts, in endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).  Because branched and fenestrated endografts are used only for treatment of aneurysms, of the thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries, this change impacts just two procedure code tables:...
