Bronchoscopy Transbronchial Lavage with Wang Fine Needle Aspiration Lung

A 68-year-old patient had bronchoscopy with brushings, washings and fine-needle aspiration due to left lung lesion and hilar lympadenopathy. The bronchoscope was advanced and wedged in the left upper lobe. Brushings were taken followed by transbronchial lavage to the area and then two Wang fine needle aspirations. The laboratory report describes tissue from the fine needle biopsy of the left upper lobe of the lung, bronchoalveolar lavage and bronchial brushings of the left upper lobe as well as bronchus brushing.
