Does the Alphabetic Index subentry for “with gangrene” under the main term “diabetes,” include gas gangrene? If so, should we also report code A48.0 to specify the gangrene as gas gangrene?  What are the appropriate code assignments for gas gangrene in a type 2 diabetic patient? ...
