Dilation versus Drainage of Perirectal Cyst

The patient presents for treatment of perirectal cyst and undergoes dilation of the fistula tract to drain the cyst. At surgery, the perirectal cyst was identified, and a needle was used to puncture the cyst and fluid was aspirated. The tract was dilated with a balloon. Two double pigtail stents were placed into the cyst, draining into the rectum and serosanguinous fluid was observed draining from the cyst.
