Dissection of Iliac Artery
The patient has occlusion of the iliac artery and had been experiencing limiting claudication in his right leg. He underwent interventional treatment of the right iliac artery occlusion. The provider notes in the operative report, “Predilatation of the right external iliac was performed. Subsequent angiography revealed local dissection continued lesion. A stent was deployed. Post dilatation was performed with the same balloon at high pressure. Subsequent angiography revealed no residual stenosis and good flow. Patient tolerated the procedure well without any complications.
