Effective October 1, 2010, a new code has been created for jaw pain, 784.92, Other symptoms involving head and neck, jaw pain. Prior to the creation of this code, jaw pain was indexed to code 526.9, Unspecified disease of the jaws. Jaw pain may be one of several symptoms of a myocardial infarction.
