Missed Abortion Complicated by Hemorrhagic Shock

A patient with a recently diagnosed 16-week intrauterine fetal demise, presented at 20 weeks gestation for suction dilation and curettage. After the procedure, the patient experienced hemorrhagic shock. Category O02, Other abnormal products of conception, does not include codes for complications of a missed abortion. Would it be appropriate to use codes from category O03, Spontaneous abortion, category O04, Complications following (induced) termination of pregnancy, or category O08 Complications following ectopic and molar pregnancy, for the complications of a missed abortion? ...
