Modified Graham Patch Repair of Gastric Perforation

A patient was admitted due to acute abdominal pain. Work-up revealed pneumoperitoneum and an emergent exploratory laparotomy was performed secondary to possible perforated viscus. Upon inspection, a perforation on the anterior aspect of the stomach was noted. The perforation was closed with interrupted sutures. This area was then buttressed with omentum using interrupted silk, which the surgeon referred to as a modified Graham patch repair.
