Paintball Gun Injury E Codes

Effective October 1, 2002, new E codes have been created to allow the capture of external cause of injuries caused by paintball guns. These guns and their discharged paintballs are used for recreational purposes. However, serious injuries have resulted when a paintball has hit an individual at close range.
