Use of the ICD-10-PCS Device Key and Device Aggregation Table

The ICD-10-PCS provides a “Device Key” and a “Device Aggregation Table.” The device key is a table which identifies specific medical devices. The device key allows the coder to look up a particular medical device, and assign the appropriate 6th character device value, such as autologous tissue substitute or synthetic substitute.
