Coding Thoracic Outlet Maneuvers
Thoracic outlet maneuvers are used to treat thoracic outlet compression syndromes. These various syndromes have a single problem in common: compression of the brachial plexus and/or subclavian artery and/or the vein between the clavicle and the first rib. The thoracic outlet is an ill-defined area that includes the subclavian artery, subclavian vein, and brachial plexus as these structures traverse through the retroclavicular fossa.
