CLINICAL INDICATION
An 82-year-old male who has a history of prostate cancer was referred by urology for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the
prostate without and with intravenous (IV) contrast. The patient also has a history of an implanted deep brain stimulator
(DBS) for the treatment of essential tremor. A magnetic resonance (MR) safety assessment was ordered to verify the eligibility
of the DBS system for MRI of the prostate.
