What is the appropriate code(s) to report when the ordering physician is looking for prostate segmentation on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)? If the diagnostic MRI was obtained and previously interpreted elsewhere, is it appropriate to report a subspecialized radiologist interpretation as a second MRI read using code 72197 with modifiers 26 and 77 appended?
