A bilateral renal angiogram is performed with both a first-order selective (selective) catheter placement for the right renal arteriography and a second-order catheter placement (superselective) for the left renal arteriography. In light of the new 2012 bundled codes for renal angiography, is this procedure reported with bilateral superselective code 36254, even though both kidneys were not superselected?
