What code(s) may be reported for endobronchial blocker portion during a transbronchial lung cryo-biopsy? Under general anesthesia an endobronchial blocker was placed into the trachea. The patient was successfully then intubated with an ETT. An airway exam was done with flexible bronchoscopy. The airways were examined to the subsegments bilaterally and were normal. The endobronchial blocker was then directed to RLL. The balloon was inflated appropriately to block off the right distal BI. In a segment of the right lower lobe and under fluoroscopic guidance, transbronchial lung cryo-biopsies were obtained. After each biopsy, the balloon was immediately inflated with pressure and held for 2 minutes. The balloon was deflated, the airway inspected and there were minimal signs of bleeding. This was repeated with each pass and a total of 3 samples were obtained.
