Are the following two statements true? 1. If two physicians perform independent procedures on a patient, it would be appropriate for each physician to report the first 15 minutes of sedation time for the same patient. Example: Physician A performs a heart catheterization of the patient, then Physician B performs a therapeutic procedure (eg, angioplasty, stenting, etc). 2. If two physicians (co-surgeons) perform the same procedure on a patient, it would be appropriate for only one physician to report the first 15 minutes of sedation time. Example: Both physicians work together to perform parts of the same procedure at the same time.
