Are instructions available in the CPT 2022 code set regarding diagnosis(es) that are specified within CPT code descriptors? For example, codes 96920-96922 are used to report psoriasis, and the article, Coding Laser Treatment for Inflammatory Skin Disease (Psoriasis) in the September 2016 issue of CPT Assistant (p 3) indicates that these codes may only be reported for the treatment of psoriasis. However, the CPT 2022 code set does not contain any guidelines regarding diagnosis codes. What guidelines are available to understand how to appropriately report codes 96920-96922?
