Our patient had a left side medial compartment unilateral knee arthroplasty UKA done 4 years ago. He is coming in now to have a left sided lateral compartment UKA done. There was no revision or removal of any of the medial side compartment components. Would it be appropriate to report code 27446 for the lateral compartment UKA since there is no revision or removal to the medial components of the same knee?
