CPT Knowledgebase - Dec 6, 2024

The physician/QHP performed bilateral greater occipital injections, bilateral lesser occipital injections, and bilateral suprascapular injections. All 6 injections were performed during the same encounter and utilizing ultrasound guidance with imaging supervision and interpretation (ie, 76942). Is it appropriate to report a unit of code 76942 for each injection, or bilateral injection, or just once for the operative session?
