Regarding add-on code 36227, Selective catheter placement, external carotid artery, unilateral, with angiography of the ipsilateral external carotid circulation and all associated radiological supervision and interpretation (List separately in addition to code for primary procedure)if the procedure report does not state that the external carotid artery (ECA) was selected, just described, may this code be reported? Also, would follow-up imaging within the ECA (75774) be reported separately?
