The KnifeLight blade is commonly used to perform carpal tunnel release in a percutaneous manner and would in that case code to unlisted code 64999. If the KnifeLight is used in a manner that is described by the surgeon to be under direct visualization to release the carpal ligament, would it be appropriate to code as 64721?
