We are using an FDAcleared breast localization device that is not listed in the descriptor for code 19283, Placement of breast localization device(s) (eg clip, metallic pellet, wire/needle, radioactive seeds), percutaneous; first lesion, including stereotactic guidance. Does the phrase eg in the descriptor allow for additional localization devices to be used, or is it specific to the devices listed?
