Accurate, current and complete provider data is an important factor in the delivery of health care and the viability of health care organizations. For instance, upon admission of a patient, a hospital will want to ensure that the physician referring in is  fully licensed, is not sanctioned and has an NPI number for reimbursement and tracking.
