How Much Money is EHR Costing You?
In 2011, EHR (Electronic Health Records) started out as a CMS incentive program. Eligible Professionals (EPs) could qualify for an incentive payment if they demonstrated meaningful use of a qualified EHR program. In 2015, the incentive program became a penalty program for EPs that were not demonstrating meaningful use. EHR was originally implemented as part of HIPAA.
