2013 proposed physician fee schedule: Primary care practices could benefit

Primary care physicians could get a 3% to 7% pay increase, according to the proposed 2013 Medicare physician fee schedule released July 6. But that pay raise would be more than offset if Congress doesn’t stop the 27% sustainable growth rate (SGR) cut set to hit physician payments Jan. 1.
