2020 Salary Survey: Certification and education can influence earnings

The first chart on the right indicates that earning one billing or coding certification is associated with a huge leap in salary. Earning multiple certifications can expand your knowledge, impress your boss and create additional employment opportunities. But everyone who becomes certified is aware that certifying organizations such as the AAPC will require additional continuing education units (CEU) for each certification. Earning CEUs takes time, but it doesn’t have to take a lot of extra money.
