2022 CPT update: New Category III code for subchondral decompression takes effect in 2022

Beginning Jan. 1 next year, orthopedic practices will have a new temporary CPT Category III code to report for injection of bone substitute for treatment of a subchondral bone defect (subchondroplasty).
