Question: We know that Medicare administrative contractors (MAC) have stopped paying sedation services with facet joint interventions. Does the fact that sedation services aren't covered mean we aren’t required to issue an advance beneficiary notice (ABN) when a patient is going to receive MAC or moderate sedation?
