Coding essentials: Unpack ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for hip arthritis
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that approximately 15 million people in the U.S. report experiencing acute joint pain (identified on the pain scale at 7 or higher) due to arthritis. Acute hip pain and stiffness is often brought on by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other types of joint inflammation.
