Compliance: Vicodin’s new DEA status could impact your NPPs, patients and practice flow

Providers need to apply the rules for prescribing pain medications such as OxyContin to Vicodin and other drugs that contain hydrocodone. Effective Oct. 6, those drugs were reclassified as Schedule II drugs.
